Hi Experts,
I have clean up registry entry and re-install MAXDB.
If sapmmc was started, all buttons are green.
Then Sap Logon starts and the following error occurred:
connection to partner '127.0.0.1:sapdp00' broken

Hi,
I have installed the software on a PC with Vista.
Here it is running smoothly. Even with IP address 127.0.0.1.
Once installed on a laptop computer does the above error.

Is this 127.0.0.1 the ip address of ur server ? If yes, try to logon to the SAP instance from the server itself. If you are able to login to the SAP instance from the server then the issue should be with the network or with the firewall.

Please find the IP address for your desktop at Start >> Run >> CMD >> IPCONFIG and host name at My Computer >> Properties >> Computer Name >> full computer name. then update IP address and host name in host file entry at (Start > RUN > drivers > etc > host file)
As 127.0.0.1 is default entry in the host file for localhost. Also check the service file for
