Hi,
how does PCo 2.0 behave when the OPC server crashes or gets shutdown and gets restarted afterwards?
1.) Does PCo try to reconnect after or during a specific period?
2.) Is there a way to get notified in MII by PCo when the OPC server connection got lost?
Another question:
When will the <NotificationMessage><Faults/> ever be used? I never got anything under this tag.
Best regards,
Martin
When you configure the OPC Source Agent, in the Reliability Tab, set the Maximum Rety Attempts to a large number and the Retry interval to a reasonable number ( 5 to 10 Sec). The Agent will retry whenever the OPC Server connectivity is lost.
Some OPC Servers have a tag that can indicate the status of the OPC connection to the PLC. It may be possible to use this tag in a Notification to MII for the event. If you are just querying tags from MII through PCo, you will have to handle the error in the Query response.
