errors in submitting build to NWDI - any obvious mistakes??

Hello Everybody,

We are getting several errors submitting builds to the DTR. This is all a result of creating multiple projects to get something to work for development. Anyway here is the log, if you see anything that you see as an obvious error, please let us know how to solve it.

Here are the questions. How can we get rid of these errors:

1. Resource "<resource>" is not relevant for DC build and will be ignored. Reason: Invalid DC URL '<resource>'. URL does not point to DCs root directory.

2. We created a couple of projects which we were unable to use, we want to delete them from the dtr but it does not allow us to do so. Is there a way in nwdi or the dev environment to delete these.

Hi

1. are not really errors (although I'm wondering how you managed to checkin files at these locations - the only files there should have the extension .dcref) and are for sure not the cause of the build problems (not imported or broken SAP_BUILDT and a missing SC dependency in the track configuration I would judge from the CBS log)

2. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/17/73a43f4aa1330ee10000000a114084/frameset.htm describes how to create a DTR client that allows to access all files in a DTR. This way you can delete more or less anything in DTR. Deleting DCs is described for example here: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/2066. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] I would amend that by: remove the development configuration that contains the DCs from the NWDS before starting to delete files in the DTR, and reimport the development configuration at the end. Otherwise the DC toolset might not recognize that Dcs have vanished.

Verify the Development Configuration Pool URL for correct SLD URL like http://<HOST>:<PORT>;

and update the URL in the host file might help.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to our problem. We verify the Development Configuration Pool URL for correct SLD URL like http://<HOST>:<PORT>. The basis consultants say that it is configured properly. Does anything else come to your mind.

Hi Sumit,

Please try to close the DC project and open again and do rebuild and repair the DC project.

If issue still exists, then delete the DC project from local project NWDS "Please do not select to delete as from client" then create project from inactive DC again.
