Hi, ALL friend

My SAP IDES sever can only be run under a very low speed. I found multiple disp+work.exe after checking the task manager.

Does anyone have the same situation. Please advise.

This is expected and that's one reason why one should not install IDES on a PC or Laptop, it's just not suited for that kind of environment.

Hi,

Make sure that you have enough resources like RAM and CPU available to handle the total number of work processes. As a rule of thumb 1GB can support 4 dialog workprocesses simultaneaously.

No. of WP's can be calculated as follows,

DIA WP's = RAM(in GB)/250

BG WP's' = RAM(GB)/750.

If you have minimum resources then you need to consider redefining the number of work processes in the profile parameters(RZ10).

Hope this helps.

This is normal - you will have a number of disp+work processes. For example, we have 20. If you look in TA SM50, you will see the process listed, and if you hit "refresh" you will see items appear and dissappear as work starts and finishes.
