BPMon is especially valuable if you want to monitor BW Process Chains as described in Dirk Müller's blog /people/dirk.mueller2/blog/2010/07/23/best-practice-bw-process-chain-monitoring-with-sap-solution-manager--part-1

That's the main BW scneario that customers use BPMon for.
