Copy control at Item level

Hi,

When we do copy control at Item level we specify the source document Item Category and target document Item category. However sometimes we dont mention the target document Item category and leave it blank. What happens if we leave that field blank:

1) Is it that if we leave the target document Item Category as blank then Item Category determination takes place for the target document as the Item category is not copied from the source document to target document.

Hi,

YEs if you leave the item category at source than the item category determination will take place for the target document type.

inAddition to that in copy control Copying requirement "301" at Item level, checks the completion and rejection status of the item. If the item has been rejected or completed status then system will not copy the item to the target document

.
