HI all,
I am testing system copy using R3Load from
Win 2003 32 bit /Oracle 9.2.0.5 32 bit / R3E47X200 Kernel 640 32bit
to Win 2003 64 bit /Oracle 10.2.0.4 64 bit / R3E47X200 Kernel 640_Ex2 64bit
using different servers (single servers and also MSCS).
Using SQLPLUS on the 64 bit servers I'm experiencing long connection times with "/ as sysdba" in the clustered environment.
On the single server SQLPLUS seems working good.
SQLNET.ORA and INIT.ORA are the same.
I did a new system copy on the single system and on the cluster system.
SQLPLUS on the single system works good but not on the clustered system.
I searched on the net, but didn't find solution to this.
Thanks to all in advance.
Pasquale
Hi,
I solved. It was not a problem ... It was my mistake!!
The search order of Oracle Net Configuration files is as follow:
1. Directory specified in TNS_ADMIN
2. ORACLE_HOME\network\admin
So in a clustered Windows environment, if TNS_ADMIN points to
SapNetName\sapmnt\SID\SYS\profile\oracle, MSCS resources SAP-R/3 IP, SAP-R/3 Netname and SAPMNT in group SAP-R/3 SID needs to be Online if you want to use SQLPLUS when resource SAP-R/3 SID is Offline !!
Elementary, my dear Watson!
Pasquale.
