Hi,
we have updated the kernel from 7.01 patch level 55 to 7.01 patch level 105. The sap system runs on AIX 6.1 64-bit. After restart the sap system we found the folllowing entry in the system log:
Program rslgcoll Started: Assurance in valid data in file in Program $Id: //b032 ?????????????????????? Location ??? Not Fulfilled Program rslgcoll Ended: many file format errors
Can anybody help us?
Best regards,
Helmut
Dear Helmut,
The most possible reason for the problem is that the syslog files are
corrupted. In this case the most easiest way is to delete and recreate
them.
Please refer to the attached notes to get the detailed information on
how to delete the SysLog files:
2448 Collector daemon does not start (it is also valid for 6.20)
45580 How are syslog files deleted?
15291 SysLog daemons terminate immediately
It is also recommended to restart the server if it is possible.
The RSLGSEND is used for the central system log. This prgramm sends
the entries to the central log. RSLGCOLL, this programm waits for
the log entries. In your case, the sending programm get an error when
it tries to SEND SYSLOG entries. May be, the collector is crashed or
the line is broken or the defintion for the ports is wrong.
To repair the system log, please run report RSLG0020 as per attached SAP
Note 21153. This report makes an analysis during the first run. If the
report finds something, there are proposals at the end of the list which
can be executed by double-clicking.
Please ensure you have fully explored all the potential reasons for
this error as per SAP Note 6760
Regards,
Paul
