SAP support for OEL?

Need to know if SAP plans to support OEL? Only thing i could find is an old OSS note: 997990 stating there are no current plans. I opened an OSS note and was told they could not help and referred me to consulting.

Hello Roger,

yes you are right - that OEL is not supported right now (and i guess it never will).

I think that this is some kind of a political thing .... if you check the PAM for your SAP release you will also find EL4, EL5, SLES9, SLES10 and SLES11 only.
