Hi Experts,
We are starting a project upgrade and I have a question about the best practice in a upgrade BW project.
The BW landscape have 3 system BWD, BWQ and BWP but the customer is not sure that all three systems have the same configuration so he want to "refresh" development system with Production configuration. The BW consultant team also say that they need the 3 system with the same configuration.
The question is: what is the best alternative about this problem considering that production system it's about 500 GB of database and the space available in development system is limited. Can I consider client copy (like R3) to solve the issue? or is justified an homogeneous copy with the entire system?

copy BWP to BWA: I see no problem
copying BWP to BWD: not a good idea.
your BWD database would grow and contain productive data.
a possibility: create transport with cube definitions and lall BW-related changes in RSA1 from BWP, then, import into BWD.
