Execute annual inventroy count

Hi all,

I'm trying to execute an annual inventory count for a storage type. HUM is active. And all the SUs in this storage type are assigned to a production order.

When I try to activate the inventory record and I get this error:

HU 5000005170 is hierarchical. HU can only be counted without difference

Message no. L3841

Diagnosis

In the warehouse, hierarchical handling units can only be inventoried without a difference.

System Response

Therefore, you cannot enter a count that deviates from the book inventory.

Procedure

Enter the target stock amount and assign the HU for unpacking.

After unpacking, you can then execute the inventory.

Cancel the inventory document item using transaction LI16.

Perform a HU inventory for this handling unit.

Create a new WM inventory and inventory the handling unit without a difference.

How can I fix this problem?

Thank you very much.

When you are taking inventory ensure that

1.All TR converted into TO and all TO's are confirmed.

2.All PCN shall be converted into TO's and all TO's confirmed.

3.All stock assigned to order either issued to prduction or it will be bin.

4.Also material assigned to delivery also should be good issued.

5.Material which is available in bin will be ready for inventory.

Hope this help you to clear your issue.

Prashant

Thank you Prashant.

The HU is assigned to a Production Order and is in a storage bin on the production line. I want to be able to count all the HUs in this storage bin but they're all assigned to various Production Orders.

The system issues an error that 'Differences are not allowed' when I try to enter the Physical Inventory Count.

Is there a way I can set the system to allow differences for a count for HUs while the HUs are still assigned to Production Order??

Thank you.
