(1). please explain the role of SERIES GROUPS in CIN configuration.
(2). RG1 - total/full process with transaction codes.

If you want to have a different number range for any outgoing excise documents, you should have a different series group.
As regards RG1, please search the forum.

Hi,
You can have different series group for stock transfers/ Domestic Sales/ Export sales/ Captive consumption depending upon the business requirement. Your client moght be having a set of number ranges already in use and configure as per their existing number range interval requirements.
