Hiii ,
Please try the following
u2022User SAPSR3 is locked , unlock t through command level. The log will be in usr/sap/sid/DVBEMG/work/
u2022Or check the listener , start it if it is not started by using Lsnrctl start
It will start the listener in command level
u2022Change the virtual memory in the computer.
Thank you,
vikram.

Hi!
Thanks for reply.
But my Dispatcher is working fine.
But I have question, If the profile parameter with value
i.e. em/initial_size_MB = 64000
is worked good.
From last 2-3 day's it give the error which mention in previos post.
So how to calculate the value for the parameter em/initial_size_MB.
and corresponding value em/blocksize_KB.
Thanks
Hi,
It is for sure, something goes wrong while configuring or configured memory related parameters.
Its nice to know that your system is running now..
To get more details regarding "Memory Parameter tuning" refer the below notes.
[ Note 941735 - SAP memory management for 64-bit Linux systems|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/941735]
and
[Note 146289 - Parameter Recommendations for 64-Bit SAP Kernel|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/146289]
I hope, It will answer your all queries regarding same.
Regards.
Rajesh Narkhede
As you can see in the sappfpar output shared pools 10 and 40 are too small for the memory requirements that you have set in the SAP parameters.
Please change the values of
ipc/shm_psize_10
ipc/shm_psize_40
in the instance profile to the proper values, according to what the system is demanding. (abotu 600% more for ipc10 and 760% for ipc40)
Regards

Hi!
Till I am unble to find the satified solution.
if em/blocksize_KB = 8192 then what value required for parameter
em/initial_size_MB?
How to calculae?
I have 16 GB RAM, OS -HP-UX.
pleaes suggest me, becuase the value of parameter
em/blocksize_KB =8192 and
em/initial_size_MB = 64000
had working smoothly. But from last 2-3 day's not working.
and dispatcher is stopped. So I simply comment the parameter em/initial_size_MB.
Now its value is 4096 MB and Dispatcer working fine.
Thanks
Ganesh
{<ES> block size is 8192 kByte.
<ES> Info: em/initial_size_MB( 4092MB) not multiple of em/blocksize_KB( 8192KB)
<ES> Info: em/initial_size_MB rounded up to 4096MB

Seems like to extended memory parameters are incorrect, standard blocksize allocation is too big as far as I can see.
Anyhow, 4 gigs of extentded memory is not a lot...
Can you tell us whats you box specs and list your memory parameters?
Regards
Juan

Hi!
Yes, previous profile parameter values as follows
em/blocksize_KB = 8192
em/initial_size_MB = 64000
When I change some parameter value for configuration of mail, at the time of saving the profile give error as follows
{rdisp/ROLL_SHM must not be greater than rdisp/ROLL_MAXF and value for the parameter} valuse for the same as
rdisp/ROLL_SHM= 49152
rdisp/ROLL_MAXFS =32768
So after adding parameter for the Mail configuration, Dispather was stopped. so I comment to the
rdisp/ROLL_SHM , rdisp/ROLL_MAXFS and em/initial_size_MB, now dispather working properly.
So please suggest me
What value required for the above said parameter?
em/initial_size_MB
rdisp/ROLL_SHM
rdisp/ROLL_MAXFS
I have system with 16GB RAM, OS- HP-UX
Thanks
Ganesh
No, Actually I had not change memory releated parameter.
I had only add the parameter releated to the Mail configuration.
I have run the sappfpar, the the result is as follows

Hi!
System Speicication is :
OS : HP-UX
Database : ORacle 10
RAM : 8 GB
SWAP : 20 GB
When we execute the T.code PT60 for 250 Employee it take 30 Min. and CPU utilization is 98% or sometime full.
so please suggest which memory parameter value need to be tune or RAM need to be increase, if yes How much?

Hi,
Looks like a shared memory allocation issue. Please run sappfpar (under /sapmnt/<SID>/profile -> sappfpar check pf=<instance profile>) once and check the warning & suggestion on memory related parameters. Take backup of current instance profile file and put the new/modified memory related parameters as per sappfpar result in instance profile file & save it.
Try to make SAP up and see the result.
Also whats the total memory size in your system. In AIX, I would have checked prtconf|more for memory size. Can you please check the same at OS level. Check Note 146289 - Parameter Recommendations for 64-Bit SAP Kernel

The system trying to allocate 64 GB of memory.. Please check tthe memory configuration. I hope you don't have 64 GB of RAM in your system.
Rgds,
JP.
