Hi ,

I'm also gettting dump while changing UOM of SC in Sourching cockpit for converting SC into PO. Have seen so many treads but does not work anyone of them.

I'm note sure whether we can go with the note# 673372.

Please advice.

Hello,

Check if dump log mentions about IPC or price.

If so, try to restart the VMC.

Otherwise the reason could be that the VMC installation was corrupted: certain files were missed in the installation. Therefore pricing, and consequently shopping cart creation fails.

You can apply the latest AP 7.00 pricing patch from service marketplace (please follow note 880749 how to apply an AP patch). As a patch is always a full installation of all required Java parts, pricing should work fine afterwards.

Hi Ricardo,

There is no IPC error anywhere in Dump.

The work around for this error is to make all the changes to the shopping cart other UOM and then hold the cart. Once the cart has been held you can then go in and change the UOM, hold again and create the P/O.

But we need permanent solution on this.

We have SRM4.0 , SP-12.

Any advice?

give us more detail of the issue?

is it describe requirement ? or catalogs sc?

what is the UOM you have selected and order it why dump happens

Are you refering any contract in the shopping cart?

what is the master data base UOM or do you have alternate UOM as Order unit in ECC ?

give more precise information

Just adding:

While chaning any UOM ; like from BOM to BAG / or BAG- CAR etc.. getting dump. We are not using Contract.

steps followed

1.create a describe procurement - EA uom

2. order a cart and awaiting for approval

3. go to check status

4. change the UOM EA into BAG .

5. no problem

What steps are you following.

STEPS ARE very IMPORTANT TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM

if you recreate the step, SAP definetly helps you to resolve the problem

what is your steps? when exactly you get dumps?

Okay..

1. Create Shopping cart u2013 Describe requirement

2. Get approval

3. Carried out sourcing u2013 Add the SC into Work Item List

4. Change the SC with new Unit of Measurement like from BOX to BAG or EA etc.

5. Put the price again as BOX / BAG price not same always

6. Now ; while clicking HOLD button ,we are getting dump .

the

call hierarchy.

Since exceptions represent error situations, and since the system could

not react adequately to this error, the current program, 'SAPLBBP_PDH', had to

be terminated.

the workaround what I found:

1. First hold the cart

2. Once it's held thn we can chagne the uom in SC.

3. process PO.

We have ext.-classic scrn.

Pls share your email so i will snd the screen shots if you think okay.

4. Change the SC with new Unit of Measurement like from BOX to BAG or EA etc.

5. Put the price again as BOX / BAG price not same always

6. Now ; while clicking HOLD button -no dump

7. created a PO with EA

I followed your 6 steps in SRM 550 SP16 . no issues . no dump

Post the Dump. We can get a better picture. UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION ,Exception:cx_bbp_pd_abort are too generic.
