Hi Gurus,
Is it mandatory to use the sourcing cockpit to create a draft PO?
what is the difference between a Draft PO and SRM Local PO( created after shopping cart approval)?
we have a requirement that PO needs to be completed and approved by asset manager before it gets routed for other manager approvals(local signature mandates), in this case can we use the Local PO generated to route through the completion and approval process or do we have to use Draft PO?
Thanks in advance
Deepu
Hi,
The difference is a draft can still be changed, it isn't ordered yet and therefore not yet awaiting any possible necessary approval. Draft and saved are maybe most similar however draft isn't a real document status. A local po is an ordered PO that while in approval can still be changed and re-ordered, however after being completely approved it will receive the status 'ordered' and can't be changed anymore.
You could use any workflow per business object, the local po is just as much a BUS2201 document as a draft PO is. To answer your final question; Yes i think it's possible.
Kind regards,
Tim
