VA01 - Ship to party change should redetermine custom partner function

Hi.

Step 1:

VA01 - Create Sales order.

Enter sold to party - xxx

Ship to party - xxx

Enter the PO number and other mandatory fields.

The partner tab has partner function AG (Sold-to), WE(Ship-to) and Z1(Custom sales rep) for example.

Step 2:

Go to header partner tab - Change ship to party (WE) to yyy - this change should determine Z2 (Custom sales rep)

Is it possible to do in VA01?

Note: I did the same in VA02 using FM SD_PARTNER_UPDATE. In VA01, there wont be documnet number to use this FM.

Please advice.

Hi,

This is very much possible by configuration itself.

In VOPA, in the sales order partner determination procedure, go to the partner function Z1 and then define the value of the source field as C. Also include Z1 as a partner function in the partner determination procedure of the ship to party but not in sold to party. (Assuming that SH not equal to SP, if both can be same, then you have to maintain the partner function in the PDP of both the acct groups.

Now while creating sold to party or ship to party, you can include this partner as applicable.

Once you create the sales order, you can see that the values are getting updated from SH when SH not equal to SP. When SH=SP, it can come from SP master itself.

Thanks. But still it doesnt work. Here the Ship to and Sold to is different. I did the change in VOPA and assigned C instead of space and created a sales order in VA01. But still is has the Sales REP of Sold to party. Sales rep needs to change for the change of Ship to party as well. Please advice.

Hi Manassha,

Yes It is Possible. You should follow the path " SD > Basic Functions > Set up Partner determination > Set Up Partner Determination for Sales Document Header " . In that configuration tab, you should assign Z1(Custom sales rep) as mandatory partner function but not "not modifiable.Addiionally, firstly customer master opartner determination should be maintained like it before these configuration.

Please try these path to do your requirement.
