Vendor relationship for Invoice Party not replicated in ECC from SRM

SRM 5 extended classic SPK12

Hello Gurus

We have our vendors synchronised with our R3 backend including the Invoicing parties. This all appears to work ok and can see them individually if we use BP. However, we attempt to raise a PO against the actual order VN vendor #, when we check in ECC using ME23N, we do not see the invoicing party mentioned in the Partners tab, which causes problems when paying.

If I raise the same PO in ECC ME21, I can see that the invoice party link is established.

Have I forgotten something or am I wrongfully assuming that the partnering function that is visible in ECC, does not carry through to SRM?

I've tried to go through all notes but don't see anything in there, which leads me to believe it's really obvious.

Thanks in advance.

Ian

Note 885458 - SRM partner maintenance: 'Add to invoicing party' is missing

Note 1034662 - BBP_VENDOR_SYNC: Invoicing Party not getting changed

in classic there may not be any issue since while creating a PO partner function automatically determined correctly int he ECC purchase order .

In SRM , we might pulled only VN vendors.

this could be one of the grey area in SRM Extended classic mode.

check with SAP and update SAP comments / suggection here.

Are PI (invoice party) and VN ( real supplier) vendor number ranges same?

Are many vendor VN and PI different?

Note 1022311 - SRM Integration: Partner at purchase order item level

In Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), you can maintain partners at item level. During the replication into the ECC back end, this partner information is no longer available because there are no partners for the document item in the ECC back end.
