Hi All,
I have below scenario
We should always take the 5% of down payment while creating Sales order that amount should not be used for any other purposes; and after that this down payment should be use for settling the required sales order
Please help me in this regards
Hi,
The best way is using the Billing Plan, which gives more clarity interms process flow and helpful for sales personnels also.
Why dont you try this methodalogy.

For this there can be 2 methods
One is through Billing Plan (Milestone)
And other can be by maintaining relevant terms of payment.
For this take assistance of FI consultant for payment terms for this.
Or maintain the same in tcode OBB8 for customer account type.
say,
Z001 5% Down Payment & 95% on confirmation (in payment terms section - tick Installment payment)
NOTE: Confirmation can be based on you current payment term
Z002 5% Down Payment
Z003 95% on confirmation
In tcode OBB9.
maintain installment
Z001- Z002 5% Down Payment
Z001- Z003 95% on confirmation
On releasing the billing doc to accounting, this payment term will split the customer revenue entry into 2, one with 5% and other with 95%.
So to confirm the amount should not be used for any other purposes, take payment against 5% entry in F-28.
If you have already taken payment before releasing billing to accounts, then use F-30 to clear the 5% entry against your existing payment.
I hope this can assist you.
Thanks & Regards
JP
