Hi,
I have a requirement for a sngle shopping cart at the time of sourcing is it possible to carry out live action process and bidding (RFx process) simultaneously for single shopping cart document.
only one JAy is correct.
SC Item will not agian appear in the cockpit once it was converted to next follow on docuement and Object links are created.
OR
You can create an auction by converting an RFx into an auction. This enables you to process converted auctions more efficiently and use bids copied from an RFx to drive competitive bidding. You can choose to copy full-quantity bids without attributes from the RFx to the auction; only valid bids created for the current external version of the RFx are transferred during conversion.

I don't think you could truly process RFx and auction for the same shopping cart item simultaneously. Once a SC item is picked for RFx (or auction) process, the item is grayed out in sourcing cockpit. Or, once an RFx is converted into an Auction, the RFx would be completed.

Thank you Jay you are correct.
But he business requirement is the buer takes all the Bids initally. Later they decide that they want to go for action process due to some comptetive pices and availability of vendors in the market, at that point of time they decide to go for live action.

In this case, it is supported by standard process. You could first create RFx as the follow on document from sourcing cockpit. After the responses are collected and evaluated, you could convert the RFx to auction for price driven competitive bidding. However please note that by then, the RFx process would be completed (closed).
Yes it's possible.
