MM42 master data change , cahnge pointer , WPMU

Hi Gurus,

I am in deep issue.

requirement:

The customer changes the Material master MM42.

We activate change pointer for message type WP_PLU, and standard IDOC WP_PLU03 gets triggered via WPMU and I can view in WE05.

Now there are some fields which are not present in IDOC WP_PLU03, now I will try to find some exit and fill those field with name and value in segment (WP_PLU03 - E1WXX01 Segment for Customer Enhancements to be used as Required).

Now when the data for these field are changed in MM42 , the IDOC is not getting triggered via WPMU.

PLase let me know what should be done in order to get the additional field into the IDOC segment E1WXX01) apart from standard idoc fields when we change the master data in MM42.

I am un aware of change pointers concept.. deep explanmation will be appreciated.

first check if the changes you do in MM42 will trigger change pointer.

If so, then I suppose next you need to implement EXIT_SAPLWPDA_009. to include what change pointers will be analyzed in gnerating wpu_plu.
