Diagnostic Agent installation problem

Hi,

Our SLM version is SAP EHP 1 for SAP Solution Manager 7.0.

We have configured correctly the EM in the SM system and in the managed systems the saphost agent and the diagnostics agent are running correctly.

When I go to http://solman:50000/smd I log on and then I go to "managed Systems" and "introscope agent". There I can see on the top the EM that is running and then I choose my portal system.

But when I try to proceed to the setup I can read in the "last operation results" area the following message:

"Selected Enterprise Manager version 8220 and agent instrumentation version ISAGENT.7.2.0.0-2007-11-29 are not compatible"

I thought, as the installation manual says, that this is the recommended way to install the Introscope Agent but I don´t really understand that log.

Hello,

Finally I did not undeploy this components but force the new one (version ISAgent 8.2):

SDM options:

"Settings for Updating SCAs/SDAs" and select "Update deployed SDAs/SCAs that have any version".

The error doen not appear anymore.

That´s what I thought too as I decided to ugrade the ISAGENT to the last level: I tried to update it to version 8.1 in SOLMAN but as I entered the SDM of the solution manager to do the deploy it indicated that I have already this version!!!!

I don´t understand why I have this log in the Diagnostics about the version 7.2 runinng and what the SDM indicates.

Any clue about that? What should I do?

As I can see you update Enterprise Manager to the latest version but the ISAGENT wasn't updated. Please, remove this agent from SOlution Manager and install version 8.2 too. This will solve the issue.

Please update the ISAGENT componet. Then repeat the configuration setup. It should be an issue due to the old version of the ISAGENT.
