Anyone using SAS Forecasting for SAP APO?

Dear Users,

Does anyone is using/has used SAS Forecasting for SAP APO? I would like to have an idea how the software works, market penetration, alternatives, etc.

If you do, I would appreciate 5 minutes of your time just to have a basic understanding.

I for one have never seen an actual implementation using the SAS product integrated with APO. I suspect the integration (SAS > APO) is not very common.

SAP provides their own forecasting functionality. I suppose that if a company were to have an existing SAS implementation, and then the company later decided to perform Demand planning in APO, then this link would be useful. Otherwise, I would think that most companies would just use standard SAP forecasting. Perhaps one of the other forum members can comment.....

I have heard that SAS sometimes exchanges data to other apps via linking of infocubes. You might try one of the BI forums such as
