smartform printing issue

Dear guru's,

i am trying to print my smartforms as LANDSCAPE format but it was print a portrait format.

i was searched all the threads against the printing issues.but i couldn't get.

In my smart form

1)page format 305*245,printer is DOT MATRIX created by basis person.

2)in smartform select the radio button LANDSCAPE.

3)in my local printer settings select the LANDSCAPE option also.

but always print in portrait only.

Pls respond my issue.

Hi,

Which deviec type do you use? Device types for dot matrix printers like e.g. EPESCP9 don't cntain any commands for landscape print as dot mtrix printers cannot not ususally set orientation.

Try printing via windos and device type SAPWIN.

actually my basis consultant created the device type ZEPESCP,

LP02 is assigned for DOT MATRIX printer.

and page format for LANDSCAPE is Z305*245 format in my smart form(FORM ATTRIBUTES->OUTPUTOPTIONS).

can u people pls clarify which issue is this

BASIS or ABAP

Hi Ravi,

my basis consultant created the device type ZEPESCP,

LP02 is assigned for DOT MATRIX printer.

and page format for LANDSCAPE is Z297*210 format in my smart form(FORM ATTRIBUTES->OUTPUTOPTIONS).

But the print is coming in only portrait format not in landscape. Have you found the solution for it. If Yes, Please reply me as soon as possible.

Goto SPAD tcode

Click on Full adminstrationa and goto device types TAB now display the page formats,

Here check for the page format you are using, double click on the page format u are using then check its orientation which is defined.

Might be possible that the page format you are using is defined only for potrait.

i checked it,It was in LANDSCAPE.

When i double click my page format, Print initialization is also in active(shows GREEN button)
