Statistical Goods Receipt

Hi,

I have a scenario to perform statistical goods recipt.

I have set up a special movement type for this purpose ( mvt 999) however its updating the inventory when posting is done.

Can anyone please guide me on how to set up a movement type for Statistical Goods receipt ?

I made the changes suggested by you..now when I try to post a PO I get the folloiwng error:

Update control of movement type is incorrect (entry 101 _ _ _ B)

Message no M7226

I checked the mvt type reference table, there are no entried for "NO Quantity" & "No Value" update.

Does SAP have a standard mvt I can copy ?

I want to set up a movement type which does not impact inventory..only for statistical purposes

Dear Sidd,

Your requirement can be achieve by configuring the material type, it has nothing to do with Movement type configuration.

Go to OMS2, select the material type and click on Qty/Value updation on the left tab. Now you will two boxes one for Quantity updation and another one for Value updation.

If you do not want Quantity updation then uncheck that box and if you also do not want value updation then uncheck that box also or vice versa.
