RFC CTSDEPLOY

Former Member

Good Afternoon,

I was having problems with my CTS+ transports and in troubleshooting this I changed the User Logon name on RFC CTSDEPLOY to J2ee_Admin. Upon Testing the connection I know come to another Logon Screen:

Resource: WS Navigator

User Name:

Password:

Can someone tell me what user name and password I need to enter here? My own or J2ee_Admin (which I do not know what the password is).

PS This RFC was working fine until I changed the name

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply Paul. When I open the Visual Administrator I do not see a Security tab? Should I be logged on to the Solution Manager server or the Portal server?

Hello Stephanie,

For security of Web Service Navigator, please refer to below link which gives more detailed information:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/b7/d7baaf1481a349ab723e3acd7334b3/frameset.htm

If you dont want to have this logon screen appear, i think this can be achieved by

a.Open the Visual Administrator.

b.On the Cluster tab of the Visual Administrator, choose Security

Provider.

c.On the Runtime tab, choose Policy Configurations tab, and then

choose sap.com/com.sap.engine.services.webservices.tool*wsnavigator.

d.On the Security Roles tab, choose WSNavigatorRole.

e.To switch to edit mode, choose

f.Choose Modify.

g.On the Security Roles area, choose all, and then choose Save.

Please be note if you do this change anybody could access Web Service

navigator without any security protection.

In case you only need to add one user to visit the Web Service navigator

please so as follows:

a.Open the Visual Administrator.

b.On the Cluster tab of the Visual Administrator, choose Security

Provider.

c.On the Runtime tab, choose Policy Configurations tab, and then

choose sap.com/com.sap.engine.services.webservices.tool*wsnavigator.

d.On the Security Roles tab, choose WSNavigatorRole.

e.Choose 'Security Role' in the 'Role Type'

f.Here please input the user which you want to give the access to the

Web Service Navigator.

g.Then click on the pencil icon to save the result.

Regards,

Paul
