How to implement structural authorizations (CRM) in IdM?

Hi,

we do want to connect the CRM to the IdM.

In CRM there is the posibility to use structural authorizations.

1) Is it possible to use IdM provisioning for structural authorizations in an CRM?

2) How does this work with IdM?

3) Does anyone have a guide how to do that?`

Thanks for your help in advance.

Regards,

Alex

Hi,

SAP NetWeaver Identity Management is used to automatically create and update identities with corresponding authorizations for employees in SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM).

If you are using SAP ERP HCM, employee data is sent to SAP CRM using Application Link Enabling (ALE). Corresponding identities are created automatically in SAP NetWeaver Identity Management and are subsequently assigned to the relevant employees (business partners) in SAP CRM.

If you are not using SAP ERP HCM, an administrator creates identities in SAP NetWeaver Identity Management. Based on the identity data, employees are created automatically in SAP CRM. The relevant user accounts for your employees are automatically assigned in SAP CRM.

In SAP CRM, the combination of a user account, a business partner, and a central person is needed so that SAP CRM processes can handle users correctly. The central person is required to establish the relationship between a user account and a business partner, and is assigned to both, the user account and the business partner, to link them together.

The combination of a user account, a business partner, and a central person is created automatically

Hi Nagaraju,

thanks for your answer.

What about the authorization profiles which are set in the organisational structure (e.g. behind an org. unit) in CRM?

Do I handle them like technical roles in CRM or is there a possibility to assign these profiles to a org. unit via IdM?

My understanding is that the strucural authorizations in the org. model has to be set manually in CRM like the technical roles are created in PFCG and only the job roles are assigned to a user via IdM.

Is that correct?

Thanks.

Regards,

Alex
