How to install and configure SAP Internet Mail Gateway on Windows Server.

Can we know the SAP version for which you have to configure SCOT.

Hi,

You have latest version of SAP in concern with SAP SCOT.

No need to install and configure internet mail gateway, as in ECC 5.0 you have to do SCOT configuration .

Where in SCOT you have to provide the neccesary details of you Mail server of your organisation.

And if in you organisation you have Microsoft exchange server, then you have to add you SAP system Ip as Relay agent in Exchange server to send mail to external world.

Thanks for reply. i have configure SCOT and i have tried both ip mail server and proxy server but mail is not going out of the system.

i think its required SAP Internet Mail Gateway Configuration see note 99965 there is a setting for unix system but i don'nt know the program name in windows

Hi,

Can you tell us what error you are getting on SAP.

Try to send mail whcih is present in Que of SOST tcode and check what error you get and let us know.

Also can you tell us which mail server you are using in your landscape.

error message in SOST * Message cannot be transferred to node SMTP due to connection error (final)*

We are using que mail server

Hi,

Error indicates your SAP application is not able to communicate with your mail server.

1. Check all the details provided in SCOT are correct.

2. Check the ports are open from SAP server to your mail server.

3. Check whether mail server get hit when mails are trying move from SAP Que.

Did you check that the IP Address of your SAP system is populated on the Relay Agent of your SMTP server?...
