Supply relationship for internal manufacture

HI all. We have a challanging business scenario that I am not sure QM can support. Our internal supply chain is structured that we have a number of manufacturing plants that provide goods to a centralised DC. Only some of the plants are approved to supply product to particular customers although all plants manufacture the same materials. I would like to use QM to model the supply relationship but am not sure if it will work for internal manufacturing partners. Has anyone any experiance of a similar issue and can it be modelled in QM ?

Hi,

Hope you are using stock transfer PO to transfer the stock from manufacturing plant to DC. In that case, treat the plants as vendor. As you said that some of the plants are approved to supply goods to customers ,it can be mapped by quality certificate concept. The concept is like that all those plants approved will be having a certificate (s) that / those does / do require any inspection (whether inspection is required or not can be controlled). other plants' goods will be undergone inspection while receiving the goods at DC.
