Hi,

Stock in transit (Category CS) visible in RRP3, but not in Planning book.

We created a new KF, assigned category CS to it and added it in to the planning book, no luck. This KF is Live Cache Time Series KF. It is working fine in production system, but not in the test system!!!!

Any inputs??

Hi,

Stock in transit keyfigure will display only EI orders (incase of VMI

scenario) and AH orders (if you create inbound delivery).

If you integrate stock,CS orders only will be available in /sapapo/RRP3.

The root of the problem is in the setting from Intransit key figure:

from a planning area management point of view it reflects

the setting used in the standard SNP planning area but the customizing

of the category group used there is different from the one used in

standard systems.

Actually you added category CS there. But category CS has a atp category

type 0, which means stocks actually. In the SNP planning books by design

stocks are read separately from other orders because have to be

considered in the ATD computation.

Therefore if you need to read orders with category CS you should

consider it in the category group assigned to the ATD receipts key

figure and to the stock key figure.

This customizing could be applied at the planning area level, as

described above or at the master location level, SNP tab.

In this case you can specify there the category groups which have to be

used in order to consider stocks, ATD receipts and ATD issues about all

products assigned to the used master location. Please refer to the

related F1 helps in order to get more information about.

You can get more information at note 591310.

Hi Sunitha,

I added CS to ATR (ATD Receipts category group) and also assigned CS category to the KF in which i wanted to view the in transit stock in the planning area, still nothing is displayed in the KF...

Hi Shankar,

As Sunitha has explained, though we call CS as in-transit, it is actually read by SNP as stock.

Now, two steps are involved to get the CS displayed in planning book in a little roundabout way.

Step 1. Check if CS is actually added to other category groups, as you have done in ATD (we used initial Stock KF).

Step 2. Make your other KF display CS as the result of the formula (sum of all categories under ATD - sum of all categories under ATD except CS) through a default macro.

Hope it will take you straight.

Issue solved.

We used the PHYSICAL_STOCK() macro function to display the CS stock in the KF.

Hi Sankar,

I created a new KF , Added it the planning book and wrote the Physical_stock function. But still not able to view the in-transit. Any idea?

>Compute Intransit Stock

>Get Intransit Stock : ( 43 Iterations :03/28/2011;02/01/2013 )

>Row: Intransit Stock Time Series ( Frm 03/28/2011 ) =

PHYSICAL_STOCK(

ACT_PRODUCT ;

ACT_LOCATION ;

'000' ;

'CS'

)

Hi,

Normally the category groups defined in IMG in APO >> Supply Chain Planning ..., ATR group has CC i.e. unrestricted stocks and IT1! has Categories of AH and EI.

Finally you want the intransit stocks of CS category to ge reflected in your total receipts KF, which is assigned to a specific category group in /SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN transaction in PA change >> Key figure details >> Category.

Hi Datta,

The requirement is to capture in transit stock only in to a KF. So, i assigned the category CS to the KF. Do i need to do anything else?

could you please try to add the category to opening stock category Grp (ST1), assign it to that location master and check

Hello Sai,

How and where Is ST1 connected to the in transit KF? I dont see ST1 being assigned to any of the KF's in our planning area.

Anyway, there is a cat group which has AH, EI and CS. I assigned this cat group in location master, but no luck.

I was referring to the opening stock category group. Besides that are you sure the KF in production is a Time series KF where the Intransit stock is captured
