Single file to multiple IDOCs through PI 7.11

Hi All,

I am working on a file to IDOC(s) Scenario, where I receive a file with multiple records. PI file adapter is used to read the file and map it to IDOCs in PI 7.11 mapping. I have used imported the external definitions of the IDOC as I had to convert the occurrence of the IDOC to 0 to unbounded using the external definitions. The mapping of this IDOC works perfectly in test mapping and also during runtime.

In SAP only ONE IDOC is getting created not multiple IDOCs as it is shown in the message mapping of XI system. When the IDOC is created in ECC all the segments are getting posted as part of only one IDOC, where as this should be in multiple IDOCs.

Please let me know, if you had any faced a similar issue? Also, how to fix this issue?

This is dumbest thing I did...

In message mapping, when mapping the target fields :-

ZMESSAGETYPE

IDOC

Begin

The node attribute "Begin" was disabled by me, where as it is the mandatory field. Once I enabled the node attribute "Begin" and mapped a constant value to it. The number of IDOCs that got created in ECC were multiple.

The issue is resolved and I am closing the thread.
