Transportable requests

Hi,

We have just installed DEV system. We are about to start installation of QA system in week's time.

We want developmenst done to be transported to QA system but QA system is not ready yet.

So how can we make request transportable so that when QA system is ready , we can move transport requests to QA system

Create a Virtual system in STMS with the SID of QAS system. And once your QA system is up change it to real system.

And as an addition to the previous speakers, some text from the SAP course with regard to this:

When the configuration for the virtual system is deleted, the associated files in the transport directory are not removed. Thus, when the real systemis added, the change request queue files are already populated with data waiting for import.

To enable a virtual system to be replaced by an installed system, the virtual system must have the same SID as the subsequently installed system.
