Contract Activation Authorisation in RE-FX

How can we restrict the activation of Contract in RE-FX?? We want that Activation of contract be controlled by different set of users from those who create it in system. Only the users specifically authorised for contract activation should be allowed to activate the contracts. Rest all should either get an error or (if possible) the Activation button should become deactive.

Does anyone out there know how we can solve this? Your assistance will be greatly appreciated...

Hi Rohit,

you should just make sure those users, who should not be able to activate contracts, don't get an authorization in their profiles for the auth.object F_RECN with the field Activity equals '07'.

They would get then an appropriate error message after they try to activate a contract. The 'Activate' button will still be active though.

Maybe using BDT, standard technique in RE-FX for screen customizing you can achieve even this, but I would not recommend it.
