Custom movement type for Confirmation

Hi All,

In my system, consultants previously worked here have designed some new movemet type for confirmations. But I couldn't understand where this movement type is assinged. I couldn't contact them. Can you please help me in understanding the setup?

while doing confirmation, it would post a GR document in backend with mvt type 101. But for return deliveries, instead of 122 it is posting through a custom mvt type xxx. I could see this mvt type in the IDOC generated in SRM. But couldn't find where it is assigned.

Can any one please guide me to explore this?

SRM Stranger,

OSS Note 425117 describes how you can change the movement code. FOllow the note as if you were implementing to see if this is indeed how the consultants changed the default 122 to something else.

Thank you, Onyedika. you are rite. Custom mvt type is assinged in the program mentioned in that SAP note.

Ganesh ..you can refer the note: Note 425117 - Reason for movement for return deliv./cancellation confirm.

I am facing issues in the same scenario when other consultants have already created some custom mvt types. Please advice how can I find the standard mvt type from which custom mvt type was copied.

For eg. I can see mvt type 901 in OMJJ but I can't see from which mvt type was it copied.

Hi,

Please check the customized Movement type in ECC 6.0 /SAP R/3 in the backend.

It is taking this movement type from the back end only

I could see this custom mvt type in backend (OMJJ). But I couldn't understand how SRM will know this mvt type? I believe the assignment should be somewhere in SRM , beacsue we are not assigning any such thing in ECC.

When do a confirmation in extended classic scenario, IDOC would be first generated in SRM system, which would generate another IDOC in ECC. I could see this mvt type in SRM IDOC itself.

Is there a FM or BADI for this? Or could this be configured in IDOC types? We are using the standard IDOC type MBGMCR and basic type MBGMCR01.

Hi,

Please go to SE37 for the Function module : enter BBP_PD_CONF* press F4 you can see all the

function modules related to confirmation.

But uptomy knowledge we are not assigning any movement type in SRM, it is taken only from the Backend.

If we are assigning any movement type please let me know
