PPDS implementation

Hi Gurus,

Can any one explain or guide me steps need to be done for PPDS customizing & configuration related to PPDS Heuristic planning run (infinite Planning run).

Please let me know , Thanks a lot in advance.

Input: i wanted to run for bottom to up (Raw material, SFG & FG)

You can use SAP_PP_009 heuristic for this purpose

Hey, hey,

we are also trying to use SAP_PP_009.

As we are using the subassembly scenario (subassy with source location) which SAP offers our part chain does currently have 8 steps.

When using PP_009 the delay is not correctly pushed up to the demand initiator.

Within the subassy scenario the demand is not correctly handed over.

Did any of you have a similar problem until now.

We would be happy for any answer.

Can explain about heuristcs for PPDS, I need one heuristics for run ppds where respect maximum stock assigned at transation mat1 and respect the resource capacity of production is possible?

Hi,

For infinite planning run similar to MRP Run you can have following steps

1.Use SAP_PP_002 as product heuristic in APO product master. Maintain PPDS horizon, planning time fence as per requirement

2. Set automatic planning run step as follows

1. Run heustic SNP to PPDS order conversion SAP_SNP_MULT( If you are using SNP too)

2. Run stage numbering algorithm to calculate low level codes- SAP_PP_020

3. Run SAP_MRP_002/SAP_MRP_001.

What do you mean by bootom up as above process will work top to bottom with forcast requirements/sales order upto raw material. If you want to propogate delays from down level use SAP_MRP_002. Based on alerts you can sort out problem.

If requirement is you want to drive production plan based on available raw material go for push production functionality.
