Error while installing nwds 7.2 feature files

Dear all,

I am using NetWeaver CE 7.2 and the NWDS 7.2. But while installing the plugins and feature files the installation hangs up (it shows the same progress percentage for several days and does not make any further progress). After cancelling the whole thing after two days one of the symptoms is that perspectives are missing. E.g., the Process Composer perspective is missing. Trying again to install the missing features leads to the same behaviour. The update Manager says: "Installing feature files: feature.xml" , but does not do anything.

Any help is welcome.

Solution is the following. You need to deinstall the SAP components

SAP Graphics Chart Control

SAP Webdynpro IDE Form Designer Control

Manually(via System-> Software -> Deinstallation) . Then do the update and it works.
