What does Bizbox Direct for iPhone/iPad/iPodTouch App do?

Bizbox Direct is a app that enables the deliver of SAP Workflow Alerts to your iPhone. It is a very focused app needs no middleware and no add-ons to your SAP. It just needs the connection ip/URL, port number, client number, username and password.

Can BizBox Direct work if iPhone is not connected to VPN?

I wish to push alerts to iPhone even when iphone is not on VPN.

Let me know how to iPhone can get workflow alerts in such scenario.

Thanks to your question. Currently Bizbox does not support of push notifications. This feature is something we are looking to add to future releases. I will keep you informed when and if this feature becomes available. At best the app would support "Local notifications" as "Push Notifications" would require installation of software on the client system. Staying code free on the client system is in keeping with our main goal.

Additionally if this notification feature is to work in the future and through VPN, the VPN solution would have to be supported by the Iphone (ie. Cisco VPN technology). The reason is again our thinking is that only "local notifications" would be supported by our applications.
