Hi Expert;
l would like to configure the CCMS moniotoring for PI 7. EHP1 for Adapter Engine and Communication channel components. In RZ20, Under the CCMS Monitor sets -> SAP CCMS Monitor templates --> Exchange Infrastructure.
However there is nothing at all under Exchange Infrastrucutre monitor set.
Kindly please advise how l can monitor adapter engine and communication channel and able to send the message alert to the respective support person.
Thanks
Jordan Tan

Hi Caio;
l managed to configure the GRMG for the scenario of J2EE Adapter engine and Runtime WorkBench. l can view the Java component in the RZ20 ExchangeInfrastructure monitor set.
However in the transaction GRMG, the scenario for Adapter engine & Runtime workbench are not started (not with the green tick). ln the RZ20, for the Java component, there are error message for the Self-Monitoring :Scenario XI_RWB1and Scenario for XI_AF1, there are Reason for HTTP failure: Destination not found.
l have configure the RFC Destination based on the note 634771, changing the <scenstarturl> with XI_Adapter_Engine and XI_Runtime_Workbench. In SM59, l have manually created the profile (type H) XI_Adapter_Engine and XI_Runtime_Workbench. The user is XIRWBUSER, with the password XIPASS, the connection test tested successfully.
Please advise what could be problem for the scenario unable to start?
Many thanks
Jordan
Hi Jordan,
Please check notes:
#634771 - GRMG Customizing File for XI CCMS Heartbeat Monitoring
#615740 - CCMS GRMG Availability Monitoring: FAQ
Also,in GRMG Availability Monitoring Scenarios, check if you have maintained the XI_GRMG_SLD destination as well the other destinations correctly maintained and correctly spelled.

Hi Caio;
l managed to setup the GRMG scenario for XI_DIR, XI_Repository, XI_Adapter_Engine, XI_SLD, XI_RWB, l can view all the components in the ExchangeInfraStructure in RZ20.
l can see the adapter engine monitoring component is with availability, any other thing can be monitored rather than just availability?
For Communication Channel, l still cannot find the way to monitor in RZ20, l can see the components like: Appl. System Sender Messages, Appl. system Receiver Messages under QRFC Qeueu. Can l configure the similiar thing for Communication Channel?
Please advise.
Thanks
Jordan
Hello Jorgan, how are you doing?
Good to hear that we are progressing
In regard of the Communication Channel monitoring, I guess
you could create alerts for it or use the Communication Channel Monitoring as well.
Check: #913858 - XI Alerting: Troubleshooting
About the GRMG monitoring, please refer to: #615740 - CCMS GRMG Availability Monitoring: FAQ
Those are generic information but could be pretty helpful too!
You may want to check also: #1000528 - FAQ: XI 3.0 / PI 7.0 Adapter and Channel Monitoring
It's for 7.0 but could give you an idea.
