Check/try Tcode OMLO for Sectioning of Storage Bins
and OMM1 for Storage Bin Type
Also, other Tcode like OMLA & LS28
Storage Type is a subdivision of a complex, physical warehouse. Different storage types are identified by their warehousing technique, form of organization, or their function.
A typical warehouse could have the following storage types:
- Goods receipt area
- Picking area
- High-rack storage area
- Bulk storage area
- Open storage area
- Goods issue area
Section of a storage bin is Key for bin sectioning.
It is use in stock placement strategy P, this key decides which storage unit types and how many storage units of each type can be placed into storage. The sectioning is determined dynamically in the storage bin by the first storage unit placed in the bin. The sectioning is deleted as soon as the last storage unit has been removed from the bin.
Maximum number of quants per bin section can be stored in a storage bin based on the bin sectioning set for strategy P. This value is determined by the system on the basis of the storage bin positions defined by the user.
Position in storage bin in stock placement strategy P, this stands for a specific section in a storage bin that was divided. You can divide a bin into a maximum of 99 sections. The section indicates to you where exactly in the storage bin the quant is stored. You can recognize the section by the last positions after the slash in the bin coordinate number.
Hope this can assist you in understanding.
Thanks & Regards
JP
