Hi,
When a ECC BOM in which not all components are planned in APO and thus these components are not sent at products to APO, is sent over to APO would these non APO relevant components also get transferred ? Would the APO BOM be smaller than the ECC BOM in terms of the number of components ?
Thanks
Hi GS,
If a product which is not maintained in APO is available in
the BOM which inturn has been sent to APO, the BoM
will get transferred as PPM. The PPM will not carry the
non-APO component.
In such case, the APO bom component numbers will be
smaller than that of ECC bom component numbers.
But generally, it is not advisable to carry over such
scenarios which will leads to lots of inconsistencies
in the system

In APO, only critical components needs to be handled. In ECC, if we have
non-critical components which are not in APO, still you can very well plan
in APO.
The recommended practice is that to have such ratio to very minimum to
avoid some challenges during ciffing and to monitor queues and
inconsistencies.
If the business requirement is like that, you can very well goahead and plan
it accordingly.

Hi ,
Technically all BOM items relevant to production are taken into account when transferring to CIF, provided these are also relevant to APO ( i.e. items for which integration model exists and is active , will be part of the PPM in APO.)
