Extension Set 5.00

Hi all,

I have an ECC5.0 system (SAPKB64016).

For upgrading to ECC6.0, the system must be ECC5.0 with Extension Set 5.00.

How do I know my system currently has or doesn't have Extension Set 5.00?

Check the Software Components release in SPAM

Hi Juan,

Are software components started with names "EA-xxxxx" extension sets and their releases extension set release?

I find following software components:

Software components  -  Release  -  Description
EA-APPL	500	SAP R/3 Enterprise PLM, SCM, Financials
EA-DFPS	500	SAP R/3 ENTERPRISE DFPS
EA-FINSERV	500	SAP R/3 Enterprise Financial Services
EA-GLTRADE	500	SAP R/3 Enterprise Global Trade
EA-HR	500	SAP R/3 Enterprise HR Extension
EA-IPPE	300	EA-IPPE 300: Add-On Installation
EA-PS	500	SAP R/3 Enterprise Public Services
EA-RETAIL	500	SAP R/3 Enterprise Retail

--> my system is ECC5.0 with Extension Set 5.00?!

how about component EA-IPPE 300?

That does indicate that you are using extention 500... Reg, EA-IPPE, not always the components have to be the same component release (In fact EA-IPPE 500 simply do not exist)

EA-APPL, EA-DFPS, EA-FINSERV, EA-GLTRADE, ,EA-HR, EA-IPPE, EA-PS, EA-RETAIL have release 500. EA-IPPE is add-on I think, so we can skip it.

What exactly thing(s) indicate(s) that the system has Extension Set 5.00, all EA-APPL, EA-DFPS, EA-FINSERV, EA-GLTRADE, ,EA-HR, EA-IPPE, EA-PS, EA-RETAIL or any of them?

yes, exactly.

The "main" component to be checked the the extension component for SAP_APPL - which is EA-APPL. All others depend on the level of that (more or less). So if EA-APPL is on 500 you're safe.
