I am trying to import PDF docs into repository using Data Manager. I have selected the 'PDFs ' table in the Data Manger.
Issued Add Record command. Then used Add and Store in Repository options.
I got the following Error message.
Unable to open Adobe Acrobat.
See your administrator about installing Adobe Acrobat.
I am not sure where we need to instal Adobe Acrobat. I have Acrobat reader in the local desktop from where I have launched the Data Manager.
Should we install the Acrobat Reader in the MDM Server? Please share your experience.
What is teh resolution for this error message.

Hi Sudhaviz,
Should we install the Acrobat Reader in the MDM Server? Please share your experience.
No, You need to install this Adobe Acrobat version on the machine where you have installed MDM Data Manager. Since this is required on the machine where you are loading PDFs. So there is need to install this on machine where your data manager is installed not on the server machine.

Hi sudha,
I think it is ok to have adobe acrobat on system where yr clients is installed.
Please try in console :
Right click on repostory and select properties.
choose yes for invalid pdf's
otherwise if it won't work then chck the version compatibility of adobe and mdm.
Please get back to us with yr results.
Thanks,
