RE: Personalization tab and Personalization Object key

Hi Experts,

I searched through SDN and also through google but could not understand the purpose of Personaliztion tab in SU01or PFCG. i tested it by creating a role and even before adding any tcode i see lot of Personalization Object key entries in Personalization tab. can anyone tell me how this tab will be useful for security? i am working on security but never used this tab.

Thanks for your response. Are these values generated automatically when creating a role or do we need to maintain because i dont see anyone in my company maintaining them. but there are lot of Personalization tab entries in every role. i created a role and the personalization tab automatically filed with some entries. do you know from where these values came in?

Hi Sun,

I think if you have copied a role and it had personalization by default ( SAP delivered ) then it may/might be bringing the personalization values.
