All,

We have been having issues for over 6 weeks now, so reaching out to the community.

We recently upgraded APO from 4.1 to 7.01(as well as BI 3.5 to 7.01), we also migrated the APP servers to Linux Blades (from HP Superdome), we currently have 2 issues which look related as they both fail when accessing data in the Livecache. The errors occur randomly and cannot be reproduced in our Test environments. It can be reproduced in our production enviornment but only after trying several times. The variable between Prod and Test is Master Data and Transactional data existing in Prod since Go-Live in mid June. Below are the 2 errors

When I search both dumps they appear to have some sprious characters and example is blow, we beleive this will be down to a data issue but the SAP OSS Messages we have had open for 6 weeks are pointing to Network/Hardware issues for one and the other just advises to 'stop sending junk data' which obviously we are not doing intentially, so fo r this we will write a program to capture the incorrect daat to ensure the rest of the process chain continues and does not have a business impact.

Dear John,

applying the lastest LCA build can solve this error. E.g. if you are on SCM7.0 it is in note 1431479.

Please check also the note 1278897 about the Patch strategy LC/LCA as of SCM 7.0

We have OSS Message 517386 open for this error and SAP have verified our LC Build vs SP Level as per below.

the dumps you are getting are caused by "wrong" (incompatible)

data passed to liveCache procedure.

this can happend when :

you use incompatible combination io SCM support stack vs.

liveCache build

-> this is not your case, I have tested liveCAche with transaction

/sapapo/om03 ...no errors
