Hi,
How to get Java performance analysis data in EWA?
If we do the required configuration what data can be analysis in EWA. for Java systems?
Please help me to solve this problem.

The important KPIs that you can get for Java component are:
Garbage Collection Time
Usage of Effective Old Space
Fraction of Full Garbage Collections
Allocation Rate
Promotion Rate
Top WebDynpro Applications
Accumulated Time
Top JCO Calls
Response Time of JCO Calls
Top SQL Selects
Response Time of SQL Selects
Accumulated Time
Hourly User Distribution
Most frequently visited iViews

SMD agent is installed but my quess is it stoped ,if so how to start SDM from Unix level and how to check this in Workcenter

tcde : solman_workcenter. for this assign role SAP_SMWORK_DIA to user so that Root Cause Analysis tab will apear in workcenter

frm sp18 onwards,
even if you try http://<hostname>:port/smd it will take you to workcenter.
In workcenter > Root Cause Analysis Tab> Common tasks--> Setup and check --> Diagnostic setup

Hi,
To be able to generate EWA for JAVA systems you have to install the solution manager diagnostics. This is due to the fact that ABAP and JAVA systems have different data collectors, so the solution manager diagnostics will install some collectors which are specific for JAVA systems. The information then will be collected in each of your JAVA systems and assessed by your solution manager.
Besides note 976054 mentioned by our friend, you can also check notes 1010428 and 1274287 which describe the requirements and component information for solution manager diagnostics.
