Hi,

First login to database, then use command db_connect to connect to database. Then take the backup. Error you are getting because you are not connected with the database.

Use Database manager GUI for backup which is very easy.

Check also below link:

Thanks

Sunny

Hi,

Do you have database manager gui ?

Put the database in admin stated and then add log area/take the backup.

Check SAP Note 869267 - FAQ: SAP MaxDB LOG area (point no. 19,20 and 21)

Thanks

Hi,

Either take the backup of log area or add one more file to log area to increase the space.

Thanks
