Problem in approval process for contracts with automatic approval

Hello,

We have upgraded our SRM System from 5.0 to 7.0 and we are also implementing Contract Management in the new upgraded server.

While doing the settings for the Workflow, we have selected the workflow framework for contract (BUS2000113) as process-controlled workflow and all the old objects like shopping carts (BUS2121) and (BUS2203) as application-controlled workflow.

We have also activated BC Set for Contract with automatic approval.

When we are creating central contract in SRM, system is giving this exception message:

Has anyone faced this before and did we do the config right. Can one system have both Application and Process controlled active?

Any help is highly apprciated.

Hi,

Please check you have copied BRF objects from client 000. It is one of basic customizing activities.

Hi Masa,

We have upgraded the existing server from 5.0 to 7.0.

Initially all the objects are selected for application controlled work flow. Now, while implementing Contract Management, we have Selected the BUS2000113 and choose "Process-Controlled workflow" and activated the BC set for automatic approval.

Can system support Application and Process controlled work flow for different objects. If it does not, is there a way I can switch the frame work back to Application Controlled workflow for the bus type BUS2000113.

Hi,

You should use the workflow either Application Controlled workflow (or) Process controlled workflow

You should not use both system will not accept.

Go to SRM SPRO --Business workflow ---> select workflow frame work

you can change to Application controlled workflow

Hi,

Mixed framework usage is not supported in production system but technically it works.

Please double check if you have copied BRF objects from client 000.

Hi Masa,

We did not copy any objects from 000 -> to 100 client. The upgrade brings all new objects from SAP standard in the system and set them status 'active'.

HI Ganesh,

After we have actiavvted the process-controlled workflow for BUS type of contracts, we are not able to switch back to application-controlled workflows. The option is deactivated.

Please check the table /SAPSRM/C_WF_101.

Please check with your client and active any one ot them.

Since you are upgrading from SRM 5.0 to SRM 7.0 better use Application controlled workflow which ever they are using

Get the client approval
