java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect

Trying to start a SAP installation on V5R4M0 and received the above error while running SAPINST.exe from

<server_host>\D51038621\IM_OS400_PPC64. Have read SDN messages and SAP notes: 1240081, 1238121.

but still receive the following error:

Could not connect to host <server_host> on port 21212.

java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect.

Any input or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Hercules,

did you patch the master CD with the ISERPACK ? At least thiis port is "a local SAPinst" issue, that will not resite on the i5. Could you deactivate your windows firewall ?
