Enhancement Pack

Hi,

Currently we are on release 700 with

SAP_ABA - SAPKA70020,

SAP_BASIS - SAPKB70020

PI_BASIS - 2006_1_700

SAP_BW - SAPKW70022.

We would like to upgrade to Enhancement pack 4 on only BI systems and

not other ERP systems, we would like to know what the chanllenges are

and is it possible for only BI system being on EHP4 and not other

systems?

Enhancement pack 4 is for ECC system and not for BI ( Netweaver ). You can upgrade BI to Netweaver Enhancement Pack 1.

Thanks for your Reply, Can we upgrade only BI to EH 1 and not upgrade ECC ? Will there be any issues ? any Best practice refrence?

Not sure of the true impact as most of the times when we have done the upgrade we have upgraded all the SAP applications to the available version at that time.

With NW Enh Pack 1 you base of Netweaver will be upgraded from 7.0 to 7.01. Also Software Component Release will be upgraded from 7.00 to 701.

Hi,

As such there will be no issue if BI will be on EHP1 and ECC will not be on enhancement package. But as per my experience, you should have both system on Enhancement Package i.e. BI on EHP1 and ERP on EHP4 level.
