Dear Gurus,
I am in a project of implantation SAP ECC in a company of the mining segment.
In this company has Big Projects of CAPEX, today is used the Software Primavera.
The premise is to try to substitute "Primavera" with the component PS, the projects can have around 50.000 item between WBS´s, Activities...
We will have problems in the operation of the ECC and performance...
Somebody already lived this problem?
Regards
Elza

Hi,
In this regard, it advised you refer SAP Notes no.206264 on limit in size of projects.
As per SAP, it is recommended that you may try to break your huge project into small projects, if possible, keeping prescribed limits of max. of 10,000 WBS Elements and 10,000 Activities (incl. Act.elements).
With huge project sizes, performance may be affected not only in PS area but also may lead to the performance issues for other areas which have direct link with the Project elements.

Vasu

Hi,
If you project structure is going to be so huge there will be performance issues in SAP.SAP recommends a maximum of 10000 WBS's. In case you are planning to implement SAP PS i would suggest to restructure your project according to SAP standards.
Decide on an optimum project structure that will cover all the phases/processes involved in the project lifecycle for Mining industry.

Gokul
