SSO logon not possible; invalid host name for issuing cookie

Hi,

We have recently upgraded our R/3 to ECC 6.0.The issue is like this:

We login into the portal then we access the ECC 6 system from the portal.There we access a financial report which actually takes us to BW system where we get a pop up box which asks us to give the inputs.After we give the inputs and then we get the data.In that when we select right click on goto ---> financial data we would be directed to ECC system.But there we get screen saying that " SSO logon not possible; invalid host name for issuing cookie " , click on logon.But here before the upgrade we were not getting SSO was working fine.

Could anyone help us in understanding where the issue would be.Thanks.

in SMICM FQDN does exist.Thanks.

FQDN means fully qualified name mentioned in SMICM.Is that what you meant.Thanks.

How is the FQDN of your portal ?

Check if it respects the requirements from Note 654982 - URL requirements due to Internet standards.

The issue got resolved.The issue was due to FQDN.Thanks.
